Second half surge carries Rockets past Panthers
NORFOLK - The Lincoln Northeast Rockets move to 3-0 after a dominating 72-43 win over the Norfolk Panthers on Saturday afternoon.
After trailing 11-7 after the opening quarter, Lincoln Northeast found different ways to score all over the floor. The quick passing created separation and opportunities that the Rockets capitalized on en route to the 29-point victory.
Brynna Renard and Jayda Murrell were two stars on the hardwood, with Renard scoring the majority of her points inside and Murrell knocking down six triples as a deep threat. Both players finished with 20 points. Alijah Stabler added 14 for Lincoln Northeast.
Norfolk saw multiple players contribute, including Brooklyn Branz, Brynn Peterson and Bo Caskey all scoring a team-high 8 points.
