LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln Fire and Rescue said one person was rescued from a two-alarm apartment fire early Tuesday morning. 

Officials said the call came in around 12:45 a.m., at the Villa Apartments near 70th and Ammon Avenue. 

Fire officials said crews were called to the scene on a report of a balcony on fire.

According to LFR, firefighters rescued one person trapped in the apartment and ended up taking them to a Lincoln hospital. 

70th Street was shut down from Adams to Huntington for several hours during the incident.
