OGALLALA - The Cozad Haymakers are now 5-1 on the season after defeating the Ogallala Indians on Friday night.

Cozad got the game started with a bang, as Nolan Wetovick returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown to put the Haymakers ahead 7-0. Cozad put two more touchdowns on the board in the first half, taking a 21-0 at the half.

Ogallala finally got on the board with a score in the third quarter, but Cozad answered to take a 27-6 lead into the fourth quarter. Both teams would add one touchdown each in the fourth, and Cozad came away with a 34-13 victory to improve to 5-1 on the season.

The loss marks Ogallala's second straight, and they will try and rebound next week against Mitchell. Cozad has now won back-to-back games, and will try and make it three in a row on the road next week against Minden.
