OMAHA, Neb. -- COVID-19 issues at Georgetown have wiped out Creighton's upcoming men's basketball game against the Hoyas.

The Big East Conference announced Friday that the Bluejays' game against Georgetown has been canceled.

The cancellation comes as the Hoyas continue to deal with COVID-19 cases within the program.

The league said it will attempt to to reschedule the contest.

Season ticket holders will maintain ticket access to canceled game dates for future usage with the intent of the game being rescheduled. Should any canceled game dates not be rescheduled, ticket credit options will be presented to season ticket holder accounts at the conclusion of the regular season.

Single-game purchasers for the canceled game date can utilize their same game ticket(s) for the rescheduled game or tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase.

Creighton will next play on January 1 at Marquette.
