Blowing snow arrives in Metro, temps drop
Several hours later than initially predicted, blowing snow hit the Metro about 11 a.m. preceded by temperatures falling into the single digits with wind chills well below zero.

UPDATE 4 P.M.
With snowfall failing to reach earlier predictions the City of Omaha has revised its snow removal plans.
A spokesperson for Mayor Jean Stothert announcing, "Since snow accumulations have been reduced and have not reached 2", contractors will not be used in residential neighborhoods. As a reminder-the 2" measurement was started in 2016. Prior to that it was 4" before neighborhoods were plowed."

According to forecasts, snow accumulation is now ranging from 2-7 inches with a wind chill advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Sunday—those wind chills could drop as low as 30 below.
Saturday's snow is expected to end about 4 p.m.
