What we're told is a mind-boggling number of lead-foot drivers in the Metro finds police looking for answers.

The latest answer involving a couple dozen law enforcement agencies, as the pandemic has apparently brought out the worst in drivers.

Before Covid-19 state troopers in and around Omaha were stopping some 120 drivers a year roaring over 100 miles an hour.

During the pandemic those numbers jumped 40 percent; 146 in 2021, 189 in 2020.
