Woman in custody after allegedly hitting two men with vehicle on purpose in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A woman was taken into custody for allegedly hitting and killing two men with her vehicle in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Police Department said officers were sent to the area of 4600 Briarpark Dr. around 1:20 p.m. on Monday for a report of individuals getting hit by a vehicle.
Officers said they found two victims at the scene. They were reportedly both men in their 40s and were dead.
According to authorities, the suspect was a 27-year-old woman. The woman allegedly searched for the victims on purpose and found them in a grassy area near the parking lot before reportedly hitting them with her vehicle.
LPD said they found the suspect around 1:30 p.m. near the scene of the incident and took her into custody.
Officials said they are interviewing witnesses and investigating the situation.
