Ballots are in the mail today as voters in Omaha's Westside school district prepare to vote on a $121 million bond issue.

Election Day is May 9th for this only by- mail vote; the money would go to build three new elementary schools replacing three others, along with repairs to Westside High School, Middle School and one other elementary school.

In 2015 Westside voters easily okayed an $80 million bond issue, that money going to safety and security throughout the midtown Omaha district.

A yes vote next month would raise property taxes $147 a year on a $300,000 home.
