The Nebraska State Patrol said a trooper saw a Mitsubishi Lancer speeding on O St., near 70th St., at 11:00 p.m. on Friday.

Troopers said the driver stopped on Glendale Road and ran off. The suspect reportedly ran through several backyards before hiding in a garage at a home near 64th St. and Francis St.
NSP said they contacted the owner of the home and were able to get into the garage where they found the suspect, 19-year-old Maliq Coleman, of Lincoln, hiding in the attic rafters. Coleman was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, criminal mischief, and trespassing and lodged at Lancaster County Jail.
