OMAHA, Neb. - Giving Tuesday is back in the metro area.
 
More than 607 Omaha nonprofit organizations are part of Giving Tuesday. SHARE Omaha is the place to go to educate yourself about the many nonprofits participating. 
 
Executive Director Teresa Mardesen says it’s a great day to give. 
 
“So, what we ask people in the community to do is think about what you care about," said Mardesen. "Is there a nonprofit that you’ve seen in the community that’s doing you love what they’re doing it’s an amazing thing to give them a gift to keep them focused on their mission and to keep doing that good work.”
 
This is the sixth year of Giving Tuesday in the metro area. SHARE Omaha hopes to raise more than $20 million for its nonprofits this year.
