Single-vehicle accident leads to death of Omaha man
Authorities in metro Nebraska are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday afternoon.
OMAHA, Neb. -- Authorities in metro Nebraska are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday afternoon.
The Omaha Police Department's Traffic Unit said they are investigating the crash that happened at Interstate-80 and 60th St.
Officers responded the the crash at 1:25 p.m. for a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
Investigators determined that a Harley Davidson, driven by 47-year-old Timothy Peterson, of Omaha, was heading west on I-80 when it drifted right.
The motorcycle left the road and hit a concrete culvert.
Peterson was declared dead at the scene.
This is an ongoing investigation.
