Norfolk gets $15K grant from Kansas City Royals Foundation
NORFOLK, Neb. -- The City of Norfolk Parks and Recreation Division announces that it has received a $15,000 grant from the Kansas City Royals Foundation.
The City said this funding will directly support the ongoing improvements at the Kohler Softball Complex in Ta-Ha-Zouka Park.
The grant will be used to fund continued upgrades including to the backstop, press box, umpire changing rooms, and playground enhancements, if funding so allows.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Kansas City Royals Foundation for their generous donation in support of our ball fields at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park. This contribution will play a pivotal role in helping us complete much-needed improvements at the Kohler Softball Complex,” said Nathan Powell, Parks and Recreation Director. “Their commitment to enhancing local sports facilities will have a lasting impact on the athletes and families who use these fields, and we are thrilled to continue working together to create a better, safer, and more enjoyable environment for the community.”
