Scottsbluff police investigate murder of 15-year-old boy
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Authorities in Scottsbluff are investigating the murder of a 15-year-old boy who was fatally wounded Monday night.
The victim, identified as Wyatt Reeb of Scottsbluff, sustained a life-threatening penetrating wound to the chest during an assault in the area of 5th Avenue and East Overland. The incident occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m., according to the Scottsbluff Police Department. Reeb later succumbed to his injuries.
Law enforcement, including the Nebraska State Patrol and the Gering Police Department, are assisting Scottsbluff police in the investigation. Officials are urging community members to come forward with any information that could aid their efforts.
Investigators are particularly seeking video footage from the area of the 1200 block to the 1600 block of 5th Avenue or between 1st Avenue and 7th Avenue along East Overland.
