BEATRICE - Maintenance work is set to begin next week on U.S. 77 in Gage and Lancaster Counties. The Nebraska Department of Transportation says if weather conditions allow, work will begin Monday, February 3rd.

Work will be undertaken on a total of about fifteen miles on US-77.

Midwest Coatings is the prime contractor for crack sealing along with the placement of armor coat and chip seal materials. Traffic will be maintained with lane closures. The work is expected to be completed by August of 2025..

Motorists are asked to drive cautiously in and near work zones, wear seatbelts, and not use cell phones.
