Kyle man sentenced for role in large-scale meth distribution

KYLE, S.D. - A 51-year-old Kyle man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine on the Pine Ridge Reservation and in Rapid City.
Milo Shot With Arrow was convicted for his part in a widespread drug trafficking operation that involved transporting large quantities of methamphetamine between South Dakota and Colorado. Prosecutors said Shot With Arrow, along with several co-defendants, made multiple trips to Colorado to pick up significant amounts of the drug from Misty Hornbeck and others. On other occasions, court documents say Hornbeck would deliver the drugs directly to South Dakota, where they would then be distributed across the region, including by Shot With Arrow.
Over the course of the operation, between 500 grams and 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine were distributed.
Shot With Arrow was indicted by a federal grand jury in March 2024 and pleaded guilty in November. The cases for his co-defendants are still pending.
