SIDNEY -- A vacant field will soon have two new homes ready for families to move in.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday, April 11, to celebrate the planned construction of two new homes. Byron Hedahl and John Busch, Integrity Developments, LLC., are building in the Scottsbluff area and recently partnered with the City of Sidney to building two new homes.

"We are here doing a groundbreaking ceremony for two new homes that we are building here in Sidney out at The Ranch. I've been trying to get back into Nebraska. I moved here in the early 90s, and absolutely loved Nebraska; fell in love with it. I've been trying to get back ever since. My business partner and I had the opportunity to build here in Sidney. We build in Scottsbluff right now. Basically, we're a regional builder. We build in Northern Colorado, Eastern Wyoming and Western Nebraska," said Hedahl.

Hedahl said if all goes well, they would like to build more homes in the area. He said the homes are designed to accommodate families.

"We're very much focused on community. We want to build affordable homes that are good-sized for families. So the models that we're starting off with here, they're just over 1700 square feet, two levels, and it is three-bedroom, two-bath, with a half-bath upstairs," he said.

John Busch, partner in Integrity Developments, LLC., predicts a busy couple of months to meet their deadline the deadline of mid-June to early-July. Prices are expected to be market friendly as well.

"Our price points are going to range between $235,000 and $250,00 a home. The reason for that gap is we don't really know with the uncertainty of the market how much materials are going to cost. It's all going to vary. We're really hoping to put out some great product for locals and hopefully bring some homes that are lovely for new families," Busch said.
