OSHKOSH, Neb. — Sedgwick County/Fleming captured both the boys and girls team championships Saturday at the Garden County Wrestling Invite in Oshkosh.

On the boys side, Sedgwick County/Fleming totaled 179.5 points to outdistance Wray, which finished second with 153.5 points. Bridgeport placed third with 134.5, followed by Yuma with 120. Garden County rounded out the top five with 95 points.

Sedgwick County/Fleming earned key individual titles from Nathan Gonzales at 113 pounds, Cooper Edson at 120, Owen Harris at 157 and Dane Cunningham at 285. Garden County picked up an individual championship from Jase Roberson at 165 pounds, while Hyannis’ Dillon Hebbert won at 106 and Yuma’s Agui Montes de Oca claimed the 126-pound title.

In the girls division, Sedgwick County/Fleming posted a commanding 191 points to secure first place. Gordon-Rushville finished second with 103 points, followed by Ogallala with 80 and Bridgeport with 75.5. Kimball placed fifth with 52 points.

Sedgwick County/Fleming girls champions included Lily Torres at 105, Christina Lopez at 115, Lexie Amendt at 125, Brooklyn Glende at 130, Annie Wilson at 135 and Riley Torres with a third-place finish at 145. Bridgeport’s Elizabeth Menke won the 110-pound title, while Morgan Amateis claimed first at 120. Kimball’s Barbara Earley captured the championship at 100 pounds.

The tournament featured more than 20 schools.
