BEATRICE — A second person critically injured in a house fire east of Filley has died of his injuries, more than three weeks after the tragedy.

20-year-old Tyler Reed of Filley died Sunday.  He and another man had been taken to St. Elizabeth’s Burn Center in Lincoln with critical injuries from the October 24th fire, which killed 20-year-old Courtney Knepp, of Beatrice.  She died of smoke inhalation.

21-year-old Jayden Maguire, of Filley also suffered burns in the fire and was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Burn Center.

Reed was a 2018 graduate of Freeman High School in Adams, where he participated in several sports, band and show choir.
