The Lincoln Police Department is looking for suspects in a shooting that nearly hit an officer during the summer protests in Lincoln.

On Wednesday, Lincoln police released video from inside the Hall of Justice on May 30th.

It shows an officer taking photos of the protests outside around 11:30 p.m. when the windowpane near her shatters.

Another angle shows a projectile moving quickly above officers in riot gear who were stationed at the front of the building.

Investigators say it was a .223 bullet, one of six rounds fired from a high-powered rifle toward the government building as law enforcement officers stood guard during protests May 30 over George Floyd’s killing by a police officer in Minneapolis. No one was injured by the single shot.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Lincoln Police Department.
