LA VISTA, Neb. -- For weeks, months, authorities did not consider foul play in the disappearance of a 12-year-old autistic boy.

Now, six months later, they do.

Ryan Larsen of La Vista was last seen May 17 leaving his elementary school.

Off and on since that time search teams were sent throughout the area making little, if any, progress in the case.

Now, La Vista Police Chief Bob Lausten says because it's been six months, the chances of foul play have gone up and are now being considered.

Local authorities tell News Channel Nebraska they are planning to meet with the FBI this week.
