Man allegedly burglarized bar, in possession of cash and key

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Police were called to a bar in Lincoln after realizing it had been allegedly burglarized Thursday.
January 6th around 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a call at Shotguns Bar after the owner discovered the business had been burglarized.
Authorities said that a manager of the store had come to work around 9 a.m. to find 43-year-old Ryan Wiess leaving the bar.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry found, but further investigation found there was money missing from the business.
Authorities said the owner and manager believed a prior alcohol delivery company may have accidentally left entry keys in the door lock when they delivered alcohol to the bar on January 5th.
Police reported video surveillance was analyzed, which showed Wiess inside the business leaving with a handful of cash.
Police said that later Thursday, just after 8:15 p.m., the owner of the bar recontacted police to notify them Wiess was standing in front of the bar.
Authorities said that officers located him in the area and placed him under arrest shortly after receiving the call.
It was reported that Wiess was found to be wearing the same clothing observed on video surveillance. A search of his person yielded most of the stolen currency and a key to the front door of the bar.
Wiess was arrested for burglary.
