Omaha man accused of sexually assaulting a minor

OMAHA, Neb. - An Omaha man is facing felony charges related to an alleged sexual assault of a minor.

Court documents acquired by News Channel Nebraska revealed that a Nebraska DHHS caseworker reported that 48-year-old Scott Carrico allegedly sexually assaulted a child between August 2016 and August 2020. According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, which received the complaint, the child was between the age of 10 and 13.

Court records indicate Carrico admitted to the sexual assault via text message.

Carrico's wife was also brought in on child abuse neglect charges. Both were arrested Thursday morning.
