There’s a St. Patrick’s Day warning for Omaha drivers: Don’t drink and drive.

A crackdown on drunk driving by Omaha police began Thursday and lasts through Saturday.

The special road patrols on St. Patty’s day come on the heels of a crackdown last weekend which found 13 arrests and dozens of tickets issued.

Along with seven D-U-I and drug arrests there were 25 drivers caught either speeding, driving recklessly or negligently.

OPD also issued 20 registration and/or insurance violations, 13 other moving violations and five were ticketed for driving under suspension.
