Former Millard North standout Thomas transferring to Northern Colorado

OMAHA, Neb. -- A former Nebraska high school basketball standout will be going past his home state to land at his new destination.
Saint Thomas, who led Millard North to a state championship in 2021, announced Monday that he is transferring from Loyola to Northern Colorado.
Thomas averaged 21.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest in his final high school season, helping the Mustangs get their first state title.
All but 21 of Thomas’ 1,094 career points were scored in his last two seasons at Millard North.
He appeared in 41 games in two seasons at Loyola, scoring 2.3 points per contest for the Ramblers. He will look to help revive a Northern Colorado team that won just 12 games last season. He notched his career high scoring performance in his first semester in Chicago, notching 13 points against Coppin State.
Thomas joined his former Millard North teammate Hunter Sallis in the transfer portal this offseason. Sallis spent two seasons at Gonzaga before announcing his departure from the Bulldogs.
Sallis has yet to announce his transfer destination, though Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg was due to visit Sallis over the weekend.
Another heralded in-state recruit, Grand Island's Isaac Traudt, recently announced his transfer from Virginia to Creighton.
