Omaha man gets 15 years in prison, life on supervised release for child porn charges
The U.S. Attorney announced that a 40-year-old Omaha man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for obtaining child pornography.

OMAHA, Neb. -- The U.S. Attorney announced that a 40-year-old Omaha man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for obtaining child pornography.
Matt Carlson was sentenced by the U.S. District Judge to 180 months in prison. After his release from prison, Carlson will be on supervised release for life. There is no parole in the federal prison system.
Court documents said that in November 2021, federal agents began investigating a Cybertip they got from Dropbox stating that a user had uploaded child porn.
Carlson had two prior convictions for possession of child porn.
This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations.
