FBI Omaha seeks public's help in identifying potential victims of John Shores

OMAHA, Neb. -- The FBI Omaha Field Office says they are seeking the help of the public in finding victims of John Shores Jr.
The FBI said on Aug. 10, 54-year-old John C. Shores Jr. of Omaha was charge via federal complaint with attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted enticement of a minor.
Authorities said the charges are the result of an investigation done by Douglas County Sheriff's Office that involved the FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force.
Shores was indicted on those charges on Aug. 21.
The FBI said that Shores was an active Boy Scout Scoutmaster and Commissioner for the Mid-America Council for Boy Scouts of America.
The FBI Omaha Field Office said they are seeking the public's help in identifying potential victims.

The FBI said they are legally mandated to identify victims of federal crimes they investigate. Victims may be eligible for certain services, restitution, and rights under federal and/or state law.
