GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A women’s club in Grand Island is bringing back an old tradition.

The Alpha Sigma Sorority hosted a holiday home tour for more than 30 years, but stopped during the pandemic.

Now, the ladies of the Hargis House Women’s Club are continuing the legacy by putting together a tour of different homes in the area.

The Hargis House Christmas Tour of Homes will take place on Saturday. The tour features the Hargis House plus four other houses of well-known residents of the area, including City Administrator Laura McAloon’s house.

The proceeds will go to the continued renovation efforts at the Hargis house.

Tickets can be purchased until Friday at the Home Federal on Stolley Park Road for $15 or purchased at any of the houses on Saturday for $20.
