COZAD, Neb. -- A Cozad man is going to prison following his meth and firearm-related conviction.
Acting U.S. Attorney Susan Lehr said 45-year-old Christopher Twohig, of Cozad, was sentenced in federal court in Lincoln on Friday. According to court documents, officers in Cozad tried to arrest Twohig on a state arrest warrant on March 22, 2023. Twohig was found and arrested in a parking lot at a convenience store.
Officers said they found 47 grams of meth in Twohig’s coat, along with several empty baggies. A firearm was also found in his vehicle with over 100 rounds of ammunition. The suspected meth was sent to the lab, and the lab determined that there was about 45.24 grams of meth, of which at least 41 grams was actual meth.
