Bridgeport sweeps Perkins County in home opener

BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport Lady Bulldogs forced 23 turnovers in a 81-34 win over Perkins County Friday night in Bridgeport.
Senior Olivia Loomis-Goltl had a game high of 22 points. Junior Tacey From went 4/5 from the free throw line and totaled up 14 points.
Senior Grace Dean added 14 of her own points and freshman Olivia Brown hit 3 3's to start her high school basketball career and tallied up 11 points.
Perkins County was led by senior Kailee Potts who ended the game with 10 points, 5 of those points coming from the free throw line.
Senior Maggie Fisher added 10 points, six of which coming in the 3rd quarter.
The Bridgeport girls played North Platte St. Pats Saturday afternoon getting a 76-23 win over the Irish and starts the season 2-0. The Lady Plainsman fall to 0-2 and will play Haxtun, CO on Tuesday.
The Bridgeport boys start off the season 1-0 after the 61-35 victory of Perkins County.
The Bulldogs were led by senior Kolby Lussetto who ended the night with 14 points and hitting four 3's. Sophomore Gage Nein hit two 3's and ended the night with 12 points.
Sophomore Nikolas Weibert and freshman Hayes Watts both tallied seven points.
Perkins County was led by seniors Blake Garner and Nolan Foster who both ended the night with 9 points.
Bridgeport loss to North Platte St. Pats 56-52 Saturday afternoon and start the season 1-1. The Plainsman dropped to 0-2 and will face Haxtun, CO on Tuesday.
