Former President Donald Trump rolling to an easy win: 30 points over 2nd place Ron DeSantis, 32 points ahead of 3rd place Nikki Haley.

Nikki Haley, Former Gov. South Carolina (R): "I love you Iowa but we're on to New Hampshire!"

Gov. Ron DeSantis, Florida (R): I think people are going to say there's only two possible nominees Donald Trump or Governor DeSantis.”

But there was at least one casualty in Iowa, Vivek Ramaswamy finishing in single digits and going home...to Trump.

Vivek Ramaswamy: “I called Donald Trump to tell him that I congratulate him on his victory. And now going forward, he will have my full endorsement for the presidency.”

While Trump was winning Iowa, Democrats were on the sidelines. President Biden looking to start his bid for re-election in South Carolina, the state that saved him in 2020.

Iowa Republicans argue it’s a strategy that will backfire

Joe Jordan, NCN: “Are you saying it would have been better for him to come to Iowa?”

Jeff Jorgensen, Pottawattamie County Supervisor, Trump Supporter: “Certainly, for Iowa Democrats it would have been. Iowa Democrats right now, they’ve been forgotten. And in this state, that’s not going to do they any good.”

As Republican voters put Trump well over the top, questions will now nag DeSantis and Haley. Can either breakthrough in New Hampshire next week or is Trump simply running out the clock.
