Huskers fall to USC, losing streak extends to five games
LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska men's basketball returned to Pinnacle Bank Arena Wednesday night looking to end a four game losing streak, but fall to USC 78-73.
The Huskers reached double figure turnovers for the second game in a row, committing 11 giveaways in the loss.
The Huskers built up a 33-31 halftime advantage, but USC began connecting from deep in the second 20 minutes. After going 0-9 from three in the first half, USC went 6-15 from deep in the second half, with Clark Slachjert connecting on just his second made triple of the season off the bench and Rashaun Agee shooting a blistering 4-6 from three.
Nebraska was led in scoring by Juwan Gary who rattled off a career high 27 points in the loss.
With the loss, the Huskers fall to 12-7 (2-6) on the year and extend the losing streak to five games. Nebraska hits the road this weekend to visit #18 Wisconsin on Sunday. Tip off is set for noon central time.
