GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — One of Nebraska’s most familiar faces is back on TV on a regular schedule.

Kent Boughton made his debut as News Channel Nebraska chief forecaster on Monday. The broadcaster with 53 years of experience will deliver weather forecasts Monday-Thursday starting at 4:00 p.m. and lasting through the evening.

Boughton’s debut included banter with NCN evening anchor Dave Griek, who previously worked with Boughton for 15 years.

“I am very proud to be on board with my good friend Dave Griek and all the great people working behind the scenes and elsewhere within NCN,” Boughton said.

Boughton, a member of the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame, is broadcasting from a new weather studio in the NCN and Telemundo Nebraska office in Grand Island.

“I just love talking about the weather and to all the viewers when I’m out and about,” Boughton said.
