KIMBALL -- Walk and Bike to School Day was a success for Mary Lynch Elementary with approximately 80 students participating.

Along with the students, numerous school staff and supportive parents gathered at the park to walk, bike and roll their way to school on Wednesday.

The elementary participated as part of National Bike to School Day, which is celebrated every May.

The campaign promotes physical activity in our daily lives while also raising awareness of traffic rules and sharing the road with cyclists.

According to the National Day Calendar, “The initiative focuses on healthy lifestyles, safety and fostering community participation.”
