PILGER, Neb. - An Omaha attorney is behind bars Friday after authorities say he assaulted a sheriff's deputy.

The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a private dock near Pilger around 7 p.m. on Thursday for a trespassing call.

A news release says Paul Heimann, an attorney listed on the website for The Orr Law Group in Omaha, was with two minors on the dock. Heimann refused to give up his name.

Deputies and the trespassers walked to a cabin where Heimann attempted to slam the door on police which led to a fight.

Sheriff's officials say Heimann attempted to bite one of the deputies on the arm. Deputies eventually used a TASER weapon to subdue him.

Heimann was taken to a Norfolk hospital for clearance before he was arrested for his actions.

Charges include criminal trespass, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and third-degree assault on a peace officer.  No bond has been set for Heimann.

The two minors at the scene were cooperative and given written warnings for criminal trespass.
