BEATRICE – A long-time representative of the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce who had led the organization for the past several years, is resigning to pursue another opportunity.

Angie Bruna, Executive Director for the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce has submitted her letter of resignation to the chamber’s board of directors.

Board Chairperson Kenzie Brueggemann says Bruna has been a dedicated leader and strong advocate for the local business community. Brueggemann says her contributions have helped shape the organization’s direction and strengthened programs in support of the chamber’s mission.

The board expressed deep gratitude for her service and positive impact.  Speaking on the Chamber's regular radio program on KWBE Monday, Chamber Administrative Coordinator, Amy Southwick said Bruna has pretty much done it all, at the Beatrice Area Chamber.

"It's happy-sad....it's a good opportunity for her, but we are sad to see her go. I think she has been the Executive Director since 2018. But prior to that, she has literally worked every position within the chamber, which is why she was such a wealth of knowledge. When Lori Warner was here, she had worked as the membership services coordinator. She had worked as the tourism coordinator. She had done some of what I do on the financial side of it. It was very beneficial for her as director to have an understanding of every position like that.....and that is a huge asset for an organization."

Southwick estimates Bruna has been with the chamber in some capacity for the past 12 to 15 years.
Bruna plans to remain with the chamber through the end of June, during this summer’s Homestead Days celebration….the annual major summer event coordinated by the chamber of commerce.
