KIMBALL -- Kimball authorities filed multiple charges against a nineteen-year-old Wyoming man who was involved in a single-vehicle accident and fled the scene.

On June 28, the Kimball County Sheriff’s Office, Kimball Police Department and Kimball EMS responded to a possible rollover west of Kimball on U.S. Highway 30.

The first responders arrived on scene to find the driver had fled; however, shortly after, he returned to the scene, at which point the police determined he was intoxicated. He was then transported to Kimball Hospital, but the extent of his injuries is unknown.

The sheriff’s office is not releasing the identity of the driver at this time.

While the driver was not arrested and taken into custody, the police did cite him on four charges: Driving under the influence, fleeing the scene of an accident, drug paraphernalia, and minor in possession of alcohol.

He is scheduled to appear in Kimball County Court on July 30.

The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office urges residents to drive safely and to not drink and drive.
