GRAND ISLAND - Authorities say two bodies were found at a Grand Island motel Monday afternoon.

Grand Island Police Captain Jim Duering says the bodies were found around noon on Monday at the Red Coach Inn on South Locust Street.

KSNB Local 4 reports that police have not released their names, but say the one was a 38-year-old Grand Island man and the other a 37-year-old Shelton woman.

Authorities say a third person was taken to a local hospital, showing evidence of drug intoxication.

Duering says there were no external injuries found on the bodies, but police are investigating the deaths as suspicious.

The bodies are scheduled for autopsies this week.
