Coroner rules woman's death a homicide, connected to 2019 fire

OMAHA, Neb. – The Douglas County Attorney’s Office is reviewing a 2019 arson case after a woman’s death in Colorado was ruled a homicide and was determined to be related to the fire.
In February of 2019, Omaha authorities responded to a fire on Himebaugh Avenue.
Amanda Bohm, who was 18 at the time of the fire, and her mother, Janet, were both taken to the hospital with injuries resulting from the fire. Carl Bohm, Amanda’s father and Janet’s husband, was also hospitalized.
Over four months later, after Carl Bohm was released from the hospital, he was charged with first-degree arson.
Over two years later, Janet Bohm died at the age of 59 in October of this year. The local coroner has determined her death was directly related to the injuries she sustained in the 2019 fire and ruled her death a homicide.
The Douglas County Attorney says is it reviewing the case to determine appropriate charges related to the new information.
