Omaha man sentenced in connection to fatal crash

An Omaha man will spend up to two decades in prison for his role in a fatal 2021 crash.

OMAHA, Neb. - An Omaha man will spend up to two decades in prison for his role in a fatal 2021 crash.

John Caillau was sentenced to 16-20 years in prison for motor vehicle homicide and DUI, in addition to a 15-year license revocation. He will be eligible for parole after eight to 10 years.

64-year-old James Yungbluth was killed in the crash. Officials pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators said Caillau and Yungbluth were both traveling eastbound on West Dodge Road when they entered the intersection at 90th Street and sideswiped each other.
