The United States Attorney Jan Sharp announced that 33-year-old Kevin Jacoway, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced today in federal court.

He was sentenced for Distribution and Receipt of Child Pornography. Chief United States District Judge Robert F. Rossiter, Jr., sentenced Jacoway to 140 months’ imprisonment. After his release from prison, Jacoway will serve 15 years of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.

In August 2020, members of the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force conducted undercover investigations into peer-to-peer file sharing of child exploitation materials and identified an IP address associated with a residence in Omaha.

In December 2020, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence of Jacoway and Timothy Fox, where they seized several electronic devices. More than 90,000 images and 1,000 videos depicting child pornography were located on devices that Jacoway claimed as his own.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
