OMAHA, Neb. -- The second of two accused kidnappers was sentenced in Omaha on July 19.
According to officials, 26-year-old Levi Heilig and 29-year-old Devan Spera both pleaded no contest to kidnapping in Douglas County District Court.
Authorities said Heilig was sentenced to three years in prison and Spera was sentenced last month to 260 days in jail.
Officials said the kidnapping accusations came from an incident last year, during which state records show the pair were planning to recover property which three other had stolen.
According to authorities, the two went beyond "recovering property" by kidnapping all three people and brutally assaulting one.
