It appears likely that Nebraska Democrats looking for rural votes this Election Day have their work cut out for them, maybe more than usual.
According to the recently released Nebraska Rural Poll, which surveyed small-towners in late spring and summer, they are not optimistic about the economy.
Under the category "Will Become Worse" in the next 12 months are inflation 87%, gas prices 87%, grocery prices 86%, and interest rates 85%.
In the mostly urban Omaha race for Congress Democrats are counter punching, pushing a non- economic issue: abortion.

National polls mirror NE’s Rural Poll with economy at the top, abortion while important, is not as important.
