Snow in the Metro finds slick streets, various fender-benders, and some flight delays and cancellations today.

Snow started falling overnight and it wasn’t long before neighborhoods in and around Omaha were anxiously waiting to see …one of these.

That as officials with the National Weather Service tell us travel would be difficult, with patchy, blowing snow reducing visibility.

Snow totals in and around the area varying widely, anywhere from two inches to six inches a maybe a bit more.

But conditions, at least some have improved, although some roads are taking longer to clear than others.

Take Highway 75 near Bellevue, no fun compared to I-80 in the middle of town are halfway to Lincoln at the Platte River.

At Eppley Airfield there are at least a dozen delays and cancellations on the board, as a winter weather warning for the Metro continues until 6 o’clock tonight.

As always if you’re heading to the airport, check on your specific flight ahead of time.

Garbage pick-up in Omaha has been delayed one day.
