BEATRICE, Neb. -- A lucky lottery winner in southeast Nebraska is running out of time to claim their prize.

According to the Nebraska Lottery, a $50,000-winning Powerball ticket sold in Beatrice expires at the end of the week.

The winning ticket was sold at Farmers Cooperative on 6th Street in Beatrice in November.

The ticket must be turned into Nebraska Lottery headquarters in Lincoln by 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday in order for the winner to claim the prize.

In Nebraska, prizes over $20,000 must be claimed in person at the state lottery's Lincoln headquarters. Winners have a six-month window to claim their prizes.

The odds of winning $50,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 913,129. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9.

The Nebraska Lottery has offered Powerball since July 1994.
