NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. -- A California man accused of driving away with a pickup truck from Henry Motors in Nebraska City has submitted a written not guilty plea.

Marco Solorzano, 27, is charged with unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle.

He submitted the written plea in Otoe County Court on Tuesday.

An arrest affidavit says the manager of Henry Motors found the stolen pickup near a restaurant at the old Burlington Northern Depot on south Sixth Street.

Police say Solorzano was found on 11th Corso across the railroad tracks and a creek to the south of where the truck was found. The affidavit says the key fob to the truck was found with the man.

The truck was listed on the dealer's website at $45,000. Solorzano was initially charged with felony theft by unlawful taking over $5,000, but the charge was amended to the current misdemeanor count.

Solarzano is next due in court for a pre-trial hearing on July 12.
