Fireworks in the Metro are off and running but depending on where you live you need a scorecard to keep track of when they can be set off.

In some parts of the Omaha area, folks are already shooting off fireworks legally.

For others its still, hold your fire.

Here’s the rundown:

Bellevue and Papillion allow fireworks through July 3rd from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. On July 4th its 8 a.m. until midnight.

Gretna: Thru July 3rd from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. July 4th from 10 in the morning until midnight.

Ralston: Thru July 3rd from 9 a.m. until 10.30 at night. July 4th from 9 a.m. until midnight.

La Vista: Thru July 2nd its 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. July 3rd and the 4th its 11 a.m. to 11p.m.

But step inside the Omaha city limits and the firing times are more limited.

Fireworks can only be set off July 2, 3 and the 4th between the hours of noon and 11pm.

And Omaha police tell us they have officers assigned to fireworks complaints and they are already on the lookout for violators.
