LINCOLN, Neb. -- A man from Lincoln was sentenced for a child pornography-related conviction.

Acting U.S. Attorney Susan Lehr said 25-year-old Will Reifschneider, of Lincoln, was sentenced on Tuesday. He was convicted for receipt of child pornography. Reifschneider will serve 76 months in prison with a five-year term of supervised release after. He has to pay a $3,000 special assessment. There is no parole in the federal system.

According to court documents, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a report about a Kik user sharing dozens of video files of child porn during December 2021. The IP address went back to Reifschneider’s home in Lincoln.

Officials said they talked to Reifschneider at his place of employment. Reifschneider acknowledged having used Kik at one point and confessed to possessing and uploading child pornography material. He said that his material was saved on two older phones that were underneath his bed at his home.

Authorities said Reifschneider let them into his house to get the phones. The investigators found multiple images or videos of child porn.

According to court documents, investigators estimate that they found a total of 1,200 files of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct from both phones. Five video files with hash values matching the NCMEC report were found. Investigators noted files of a victim under 12 years of age, and other files of infants or toddlers in sexually explicit conduct.

The investigation was conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol.
