Bloomfield Buries Randolph Under Avalanche of Points

RANDOLPH - The hometown fans had barely sat down and the game was nearly out of reach, as Bloomfield piled on 38 points in the 1st quarter en route to a 68-8 walloping of the Cardinals Friday afternoon.
The Bees' Wiley Ziegler scored four times, including a 53-yard punt return TD that extended his all-time state record for return touchdowns. Brock Jeannoutot also chipped in three scores as Bloomfield's running game ran roughshod over Randolph's defense, totaling over 200 yards rushing.
Dayton Winkelbauer notched the only Cardinals score of the day, with a 14-yard TD dash in the 3rd quarter. Keaten Gilsdorf and Max Bruce came off the Bees bench to add to the tidal wave of touchdowns, as Bloomfield won going away.
Randolph (2-4) has a bye next week, while Bloomfield (4-1) is back home against Creighton.
