DCSO deputy placed on administrative leave pending investigation outcome

Omaha, Neb. -- A Douglas County Sheriff's deputy who was assigned as a School Resource Officer at an Omaha high school has been placed on administrative leave.
On Friday, Feb. 2, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said they were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct against the SRO at Elkhorn South High School.
DCSO said the Sheriff authorized an investigation into those allegations and the deputy was immediately removed from the ARO assignment.
The deputy was placed on administrative assignment status at the DCSO Law Enforcement Center.
On Wednesday, Feb. 7, DCSO said the deputy was placed on paid administrative leave status pending the outcome of the criminal investigation and an internal investigation.
The Sheriff's Office said they are working with the Elkhorn Public School administration.
This is an ongoing criminal investigation.
