Arizona man dies in single vehicle accident west of Sidney
Law enforcement and first responders were called to a vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 80 near mile marker 52.

First responders were called to a single vehicle accident west of Sidney today.

BROWNSON - Authorities are investigating a one-vehicle fatality accident west of Sidney Monday afternoon.
According to a press release, a Toyota Sienna van, driven by Jeff Swedenhjelm, 47, of Gilbert, Ariz. was eastbound on Interstate 80 when he collided with a parked, unoccupied Nebraska Department of Transportation truck near mile marker 52 at approximately 2:40 p.m.
NDOT crews were on the scene and called in the vehicle accident.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes of I-80, diverting traffic at the Brownson exit. The road reopened Monday evening.
The crash remains under investigation.
